I’m an abstract expressionist, nonobjective, non-narrative, non-representational painter. Working the material is mostly problem solving, whatever the enterprise, to create something, that, at least, I enjoy looking at. …
Completing a painting is not easy, if I find myself trying to convince myself that the painting is done, I know it isn’t. There is no getting around a troublesome element. The two paintings I’ve submitted for the exhibition, ‘worm food’ and ‘okay, star stuff’. Regarding ‘okay, star stuff’, I resolved a troublesome element six months after taking the submitted jpg image. Only I would notice, probably.
Couple of non sequiturs, as bad as it gets on earth, it’ll never be as inhospitable as Mars, with its weak electro-magnetic field, send robots. The space station’s low orbit is partially protected by the earth’s electro-magnetic field from celestial gamma ray bursts. Also, an infinite number of monkeys randomly hitting an infinite number of keyboards will never produce a John Keats poem.
