Emeryville Celebration of the Arts

Emeryville Celebration of the Arts is a nonprofit organization committed to fostering an appreciation of the arts and artists in Emeryville, CA, and to promote the city as a culturally vital and progressive center for living and working.

The purpose of the organization is to produce and coordinate community-based events and programs that increase awareness of the arts and artists in all forms of creative expressions. The annual art exhibit, a juried show featuring works of over 100 artists who live or work in Emeryville, is sponsored by the city of Emeryville and held each year in October. Ongoing for more than thirty years, the annual art exhibit offers the opportunity to discover emerging talent along with new work by established artists.

 

Mission Statement

The mission of the nonprofit Emeryville Celebration of the Arts Inc. is to foster an appreciation of the arts and artists of Emeryville and promote the city’s image as a culturally vital and progressive center for living and working. Its purpose is to produce and coordinate community-based events and programs to meet its primary goals:

Enhance the quality of life in Emeryville

Recognize the arts as a major cultural and economic resource

Increase citizen involvement in the arts through an active partnership of our business, residential and arts communities

Increase public awareness of the rich diversity of all forms of creative expression in Emeryville

Partner with the City of Emeryville in the Rotten City Emeryville Cultural Arts District, a program of the California Arts Council.
